It’s the future, where something so horrific is out there and one glimpse of it will make a person go instantly insane and have a certain violent death. In the present, Malorie must take her 2 children on a journey 20 miles downriver, blindfolded, in hopes of finding other survivors and staying safe.
This book had my heart racing; it’s incredibly suspenseful. The author goes back and forth in time to reveal characters struggling to survive in a world where you have to keep your eyes closed. The author builds an eerie world filled with tension and panic.
