Here’s a book that will make you seriously consider putting your phone down.
Cell by Stephen King
OK, so I am addicted to my phone. I’m actually writing this staff pick using my phone (don’t tell my boss!). Anyone who knows me will tell you it’s practically glued to my hand. That is why Cell scares the hell out of me!
Imagine the apocalypse being brought on by something pretty much all of us own: cellphones. Imagine civilization collapsing as the people around you turn into murderous, raging lunatics because of their phones.
It’s a terrible thought, but this is why I love Stephen king. He can take something as benign as a cellphone and turn it into a nightmare. This book, just like everything else King writes, is terrific! If you’re in the mood for a good horror story, check it out!
