Just Thrillers! May/June 2018

For all thriller aficionados out there a list of just thrillers already here or on the way.  Get your requests in early! We had an informal contest in which we chose our top three titles and those are listed first. Enjoy.

The Wife Between Us

This thriller gives dimensions to the role of “the other woman” that will leave you gasping. By the end of this foray you won’t be able to trust yourself.

Sunburn

Keeping track of this cast of characters, with their dubious intents and hidden agendas, will keep you off balance until a very satisfying end. Guaranteed.

The Woman in the Window

Unreliable narrator meets Rear Window in this claustrophobic thriller that should take everyone by surprise. You might want to have a bottle of wine handy so that you can drink along with the narrator.

Watch Me Disappear

A wife and mother disappears leaving behind only a shoe. Figuring out what happened to her will keep a book discussion group happy for hours and that’s after the book’s already been read!

Invitation to a Bonfire

Both thriller and psychological character study, I would read this for the title alone. There are also sinister orchestrations by a brilliant wife.

The Cabin at the End of the World

An unbearably tense, gripping tale of paranoia, sacrifice, apocalypse, and survival that escalates to a shattering conclusion involving the fate of the entire world.

Jar of Hearts

This is the story of three best friends: one who was murdered, one who went to prison, and one who’s been searching for the truth all these years . . .

Tangerine

A debut so tightly wound, so replete with exotic imagery and charm, so full of precise details and extraordinary craftsmanship, it will leave you absolutely breathless.
(Optioned for film by George Clooney’s Smokehouse Pictures, with Scarlett Johansson to star.)

The Flight Attendant

Binge-drinking flight attendant Cassandra Bowden wakes up with a hangover in a Dubai hotel room and finds the man she spent the night with lying dead beside her.
