Librarian’s Grab Bag: What Angela is Reading

This summer I have been singing, reading, and when possible I sing as I read.
Here is a trio of books I have been working through: a middle grade novel about gender identity, an autobiography of a heroine of mine and a picture book you can sing! Enjoy.

Lily and Dunkin

Lily Jo McGrother, born Timothy McGrother, is a girl–but being a girl is not so easy when you look like a boy. Norbert Dorfman, nicknamed Dunkin Dorfman, is bipolar and has just moved from the town he’s called home for the past thirteen years. One summer morning, Lily Jo McGrother meets Dunkin Dorfman, and their lives forever change. You can also check out this title as eAudio on OverDrive/Libby or as eBook on OverDrive/Libby.

Singing in the Rain

A picture book adaptation of Singing in the rain, a song which celebrates the glory of rainy weather.
