I love fantasy and sci-fi stories because anything can happen. The only limit is the author’s imagination. New worlds are born on the page, places full of wonders and dangers. Yet these stories deal with genuine emotions and challenges that readers can relate to, just as much as fiction set in the real world.

Stories of conflict, love and growth are all the more fascinating when set against a backdrop of the impossible (or not-yet-possible.)

The Gilda Stories

This remarkable novel begins in 1850s Louisiana, where Gilda escapes slavery and learns about freedom while working in a brothel. After being initiated into eternal life as one who “shares the blood” by two women there, Gilda spends the next two hundred years searching for a place to call home.
