Little darlings, it’s been a long, cold lonely winter. It feels like years, but spring is here! What a perfect time to check out our city’s various—and numerous—green spaces. Did you know Pittsburgh ranks #34 of 50 US cities with the most green space per capita? These include parks, playgrounds, community gardens, and hiking trails.
Getting out into nature is great for physical and mental health. It’s a low-cost way to spend time with family. Public green spaces connect communities. They’re also great for preserving wildlife and mitigating pollution.
Check out these local resources to find green spaces and help smiles return to faces. Search the Catalog for books to inspire your own springtime adventures. Sun, sun, sun here we come!
