Battle of the Books has gone virtual! Kids and teens in grades 5 through 12 can participate in this trivia contest and registration is open now for events scheduled throughout the month of March.
Every year, teams read a list of books carefully selected by library staff. They meet and compete by answering trivia questions about the books in a fun and exciting atmosphere.
This year, the battles will look a little different, as they will be held online. Don’t worry, it will still be a lot of fun, even if we’re not all in the same room.
Each team consists of three to five members, and should have an adult manager/mentor (e.g. teacher, school librarian or parent). Choose a name for your team, read the books and come ready to show us what you’re made of!
The booklists above offer a diverse selection of genres, formats and characters, so there’s something for everyone. This year we’ll be featuring seven titles per list.
Do you love reading? Think you have what it takes to win? Register by the end of January and join in!
