Creating Access and Building Digital Literacy Awareness

It is essential that we are providing access to, and creating the foundational skills necessary for, children to navigate these spaces. The BLAST (Bringing Libraries and Schools Together) team has been working to ensure that access to digital spaces remains equitable within library services.  

BLAST Outreach Update

The BLAST team has had an exciting start to the 2018-2019 school year! This year, participation has increased to include a total of 31 Pittsburgh Public Elementary Schools. Students in participating schools have found themselves learning everything from pre-coding concepts through gameplay to new vocabulary through movement.
