Teen Books to Celebrate Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month

In honor of Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month we’ve compiled a list of recent Teen titles that feature Hispanic and Latinx characters across a variety of time periods and genres. From thrilling adventure fantasies set in 15th-century Mesoamerica to touching coming-of-age stories taking place in modern day Ohio, these titles highlight both the richness and diversity of experiences within Hispanic and Latinx communities while also offering new and unique character perspectives and voices.


Banned Books: Teen Titles

Banned Books Week is September 22-28, 2024. As CLP celebrates the right to read, check out this list of teen titles that have been challenged. Many of these books highlight the lives and experiences of LGBTQ+ and/or BIPOC characters and authors. Some have been banned in some libraries and schools, others have stayed on the shelves—or been restored to them.
