Seven Thousand Miles

As a child of the eighties and nineties I assumed that others like myself were enjoying a similar childhood. Perhaps my neighbors weren’t making trips to see their great-grandparents in Kentucky, perhaps they weren’t playing Skip-It, or rollerblading down hills, but without a doubt they were experiencing a childhood. In the bubble of my mind and the shelter of my childhood, this experience was being had by all. It was not.


Three Audio Books with Great Narrators

There have been numerous discussions about whether listening to books is the same as reading books. Although the process may be different, it seems to me that either way you are learning and gathering information. The following are audio book titles that I would recommend, because the narrators are amazing and really give life to the characters.

Keep the Faith

I’ve read my fair share of comics and watched enough superhero movies and have never seen anyone is the same size as me. Those days are over. While looking for new releases on Goodreads and Amazon, I came across Faith. It was so wonderful to see a woman superhero who doesn’t look like a Playboy bunny. Faith Herbert is relatable in a lot of ways.
